       Oh. A long stick of wood used by a bishop (e.g. St. Nicholas) is
       called pastorał here. Or "laska pasterska" (shepherd's
       stick).
       Btw. I know the meaning of "laska" in Czech is completely
       different  ;)

       I'm glad you know that, Martin, it saves us going through the
       usual, never-ending chain of false friends :)
       I'm going to try my luck with Italian:
       1. Tubo
       2. Incudine
       3. Bradipo
       4. Ghianda
       5. Scettro
       6. Avvoltoio
       No. 2 and 3 are blind guesses, the rest of them kind of make
       sense in my head.
