That it takes more than a year to become fluent in Arabic since
the language is far more difficult than Spanish.
Maybe I should switch to Farsi. ::)

There's a lot. I'd only just moved to England, thinking it was
       only for a few months.
       - quit uni, you're not coming back and it's only going to be a
       waste of money
       - move to London, it will be better for you (and don't worry
about the guy you're seeing, he's no good)
       - a cheap studio flat in Brixton is not a good idea, it will get
broken into just before you move in, there'll be cockroaches
everywhere and water from the flat above running down the wall
in the bathroom. Also, the landlord is an ****. Brixton itself
is fine, just find a flatshare, you'll end up doing it anyway.
       - avoid the Algerian cousins, they're only trouble
       - tell your friend from Sierra Leone to sort out his papers.
This way you won't have to visit him at the detention centre
every time you want to play scrabble
       - don't drink with Polish people
       - find the XXXXXX School and get a job there. You'll get it no
problem, they're always looking for staff. Insist you want to
work with deafblind kids right away. Find a boy called XXXXXX
and stop him from falling down the stairs.
       - always check your payslips and make sure you understand what's
       on them
       - don't eat kiwi, somehow, you have developed severe allergy to
       it

Wow, that is involved. I might have to think on this a bit
more. Where was I in 2009????

I mean, they're our neigbours, how can their drinking habits be
       so different?

If you lived between Germany and Russia you would drink quite a
       bit more I am sure.

Well, we do kind of live between Germany and Russia but we don't
drink spirits the way they do (like water that is), we're more
into beer. Whenever we drank wine, they got drunk before me. But
spirits? My liver hated me so much.

That everything will go on smoothly in your life that will be
more than interesting. You are certainly born with a silver
spoon in your mouth (it’s a French idiom to say that one is
       particularly lucky).
However continue to think of others like the Palestinian poet
       Mahmoud Darwish wrote:
As you prepare your breakfast, think of others
(do not forget the pigeon’s food).
As you conduct your wars, think of others
(do not forget those who seek peace).
As you pay your water bill, think of others
(those who are nursed by clouds).
As you return home, to your home, think of others
(do not forget the people of the camps).
As you sleep and count the stars, think of others
(those who have nowhere to sleep).
As you liberate yourself in metaphor, think of others
(those who have lost the right to speak).
As you think of others far away, think of yourself
(say: “If only I were a candle in the dark”).
