Due to my poor English, it will be very difficult for me to
follow these guidelines. Hopefully, however this ongoing order
is unacceptable. Anyway this guy Jacob Rees-Mogg’s Esq. is a
homophobe and a hard brexiter, anti-abortion activist no longer
fit for purpose. So really I do not care a lot about his
linguistic guidance and do not understand his concerns.
I would be pleased to learn what our British and equally the
other English speakers think about the guy and his rules.

I think it is funny (and typical) that Parliamentary records
have 700 instances of himself breaking the rules he wishes to
implement.
Some of them make sense, I like the "no comma after the word
'and'" rule, but most are arbitrary and silly. I hate arbitrary
things, there is no rule or pattern behind them so you have to
memorize each rule individually.
So unless I am going to write something for Parliament these
rules are not going to affect me at all.
There are always attempts to make English ever more elitist and
difficult than it already is. The example of the girl
presenting her thesis in her underwear made me remember
something from my college days. (Something more than the sight
of a college girl in her underwear anyway :-)
I think it was Michigan State University that had a set of rules
pertaining to term papers and thesis presentation. Arbitrary
rules on the right sized paper, appropriate margins, grammar and
punctuation rules, you name it. I had a couple of teachers who
subscribed to those rules. I didn't do well in their classes.
