Ashamed to be an American. More News

       Interesting commentary:
  HTML https://youtu.be/NqCIyHHOCQo
Middle East commentator, Alan Hart, says Americans must do
       something:
„I have a love-hate relationship with America. On one level,
Americans are the most uninformed, misinformed, dummest and
gullible people on the face of God‘s earth. That’s the bad news.
Deep down they are the most idealistic. So, I say, and Americans
didn’t mind me saying it, if they were properly informed about
the causes and effects of things in the Middle East, they could
become engaged to make their democracy work.“

Well, Steve, you really seem to be the kind of guy who, even
when in heaven (=Germany), cannot stop thinking about hell
(=America). ::) That being the case, I suggest you save
yourself some money next year, and skip the German vacation. I
mean, what's the point of going is this is how you're gonna
       spend it?

       Irena,
I‘m just killing time until a little birthday party starts. I
was reading a book, Erich Honecker- Das Leben Davor. 1912-1945.
       It‘s pretty good.
No, I‘m enjoining things. Took a drive around town today. It‘s
       such a cute little town.
You know, I am giving Serbia some serious thought, after
retiring in a few years. But, I don’t know much about it.
Belgrade looks beautiful from the pic I’ve seen. And, it‘s only
about a 6 hour drive from Wien, so that’s doable in a day.

Steven, I've never been to Ostfriesland, East Frisia - nor, I
bet, have any of the other members. So, how about some nice
pictures of... sheep? Cows? Herring? Whatever they have up
       there. Hmm?

Good! I don't recommend Belgrade, though. Sure, professional
photographers can manage a few nice shots (it's their job, after
all), but in reality, it's not such a nice city. I recommend
Vojvodina (the northern province). Novi Sad (the capital of the
province) would probably be your best bet. Much prettier than
Belgrade, and also cheaper. But it's still big enough that you'd
have most of the conveniences you'd get in Belgrade, and the
level of English should be similar.

Unfortunately I took a lot of photos as videos which can‘t be
posted. But I tried making a few still photos of a few things.
Ostfriesland reminds me of a Germanized Holland of sorts.

Thanks for the tip Irena. I‘ll definitely look into those
       places.
       I‘m wanted downstairs now...
