This guy is not leaving office in 2020 if not re-elected or even
        2024 -the latest from Salon...

This is not for the faint of heart, but it is accurate. An
article only a week old, not a 2016 apocalyptic story. The
       danger intensifies.
       What a horror-show of a country:

Salon. Not exactly a reasonable publication. It's the Alex Jones
       of the American Left.

OH MY GOD, WONT SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?????
Give it a rest Steven, people have died trying to cross that
border for decades - both during Democrat and Republican
administrations - the Rio Grande can rise suddenly and run
swift, the desert can kill. Perhaps it would be better if we
built a bridge every 10 miles or so for easy crossing, and then
we could go down and pick people up in their home country in air
conditioned buses and bring them up. Of course each bus would
be staffed with medical professionals and armed guards.
The concentration camps were built under Obama, child separation
was inaugurated under Obama - the Republican solution has always
been accelerated deportment -- but NO we have to be careful of
the 'legal rights' of people who aren't even citizens. So we
have to store them at the border until they can go before a
judge who tells them to go home. The camps are now overloaded
because the Democrats sing a sirens song of easy street if they
can only get to America, and they jam up the courts with paid
legal services for all who want it.
Your party made this situation, and now I am paying $775/day to
house them? Give the people $775, tell them to go home and we
string up the people in your party responsible for this mess.
And the whole "He ain't leaving" thing is ridiculous. Too many
people who still serve the Constitution for that foolishness.

I love the way Trump trolls the humorless left. He played them
all through the campaign and now through the first term of his
presidency. He's a master at having them make themselves look
like damned fools. Trump is a chess master, the Dims are checker
players. They really have no clue how to deal with the man. It's
       a beautiful thing.

I didn't say no rights Irena and you know that.
They can apply for entrance in a legal way in their home
country. I reject the idea that I have obligations to people
who show up illegally, especially to things like lengthy waits
at my expense for unnecessary court hearings.

That’s the Republican philosophy Irena. You know what that
right-winger mental case Trump said about the US concentration
camps at the borders (and let’s not kid ourselves, that’s
exactly what they are: concentration camps): “Well, if they
don’t like the conditions of the (prison)camps, let them stay
       home?”
These are immigrant/asylum seekers. Not criminals. And children
       for god’s sakes.
But, to be honest with you, if the immigrants knew anything
about the US, It’s baffling to think they’d even want to get
near the US. Almost anyplace has got to be a step up. I’d take
Mexico or Peru over the US, even though neither place wouldn’t
be my first choice. Even if I had to sell bananas for a living.
Those concentration camps, reminds me of what that old fascist,
sadistic red-neck sheriff of Arizona, Joe Arpaio used to
operate. He had air-conditioned kennels for his local dogs, and
preached his “gospel messages” every night into each prison
cell, which he used to broadcast himself- seriously, this is how
sick this old monster was) but fed his prisoners (most of whom
had never even been convicted of a crime but were awaiting a
court date and couldn’t make bail) only 2x a day (usually moldy
salami sandwiches), and housed them in a tent city wearing
humiliating pink uniforms in 114F heat and ran chain gangs,
denied them medical care— and this monster was sued in court
multiple times, lost, and was even sentenced himself by a court
for contempt of court (he just refused to follow court orders to
make his slave labor camps humane, and then Trump pardons the
creep because this criminal supported Trump in the election in
2016. I’m surprised Joe Arpaio didn’t perform “medical
experiments” on his inmates, like a Josef Mengele. Finally this
person, who was guilty of crimes against humanity was voted
FINALLY out of office only a couple of years ago, while in his
80s. Yeah, I suppose he wanted to keep on with his sadism into
his 80s. Now he’s living a comfortable life somewhere in Arizona
on a fat pension the taxpayers are paying for. And he’s in his
80s. How does that song go, “Only the good die young?” That’s
the kind of country I have to return to.
This is one reason I will never in my life set foot in Arizona.
Ever. I won’t visit any place that would tolerate a monster like
that (and yes, this guy was a sick sadistic monster who got away
       with it).

No, I actually don't know that, and in fact, I really don't see
how else to interpret what you wrote. You put "legal rights" in
scary quotes, and you pointed out these people weren't even
citizens. The obvious implication is that people who aren't
citizens should have no legal rights. Well, good thing I no
longer live in the United States.

Also, I hate to sound like Miss Obvious, but people who actually
are fleeing persecution and violence would risk their lives by
applying for asylum at an embassy in their home countries. Which
is why the obvious thing to do is to just pack up and leave and
hope to reach safety (in another country) as soon as possible.
The fact that most people who apply for asylum are economic
migrants is a separate matter. And the fact that your (American)
courts take a while to process these cases is another separate
       matter.
