Very cute, and same idea as my favorite. Glad to hear yours is
so much fun :-)

I had a Shih Tzu once, years ago and he wasn't yappy like little
dogs so often are.

To me, Dachshunds are a large breed on short legs. They have
none of the small-breed neuroticism in them. I don't think they
get quite as excited, either. If a bunch of small dogs were
planning to commit a bank robbery, the Dachshund would
definitely be in charge.

Yes, I think those mixes look very similar. The other breed we
considered this last time we got a puppy, because they have many
of the same characteristics, and are quiet dogs by reputation,
are Cavachons-- a mix of the bichon friese and King Charles
cavalier. They also look quite similar to the Shih Tsu mixes.
HTML https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=cavalier%20and%20bichon%20friese%20mix&qs=n&form=QBIR&sp=-1&pq=cavalier%20and%20bichon%20friese%20mix&sc=1-30&sk=&cvid=4B8B01D35D8042B493E9BF60E146F723<br
/> We petted the bichon friese mother of a litter of Cavachons
and she felt like a sheep.
Neal-- was your Shi Tsu obsessed with shoes, socks, or feet?
One of the profiles of a Shi Tzu online, that I can´t find now,
said ¨He will steal your shoes.¨ Our puppy is not so much into
shoes, but takes every opportunity to steal socks, and has even
learned how to take the short athletic socks right off my
husbands feet if he isn´t paying close attention (a two-step
process, first pulling on the heel and then on the toe.) I read
that Shih Tzu´s were bred to be companions to the Chinese
emperors and slept at their feet. Can a dog be bred to love the
smell of his master´s feet?
Here is a funny article on the ¨pet shaming sign¨ meme.
HTML http://www.ninjajournalist.com/entertainment/pet-shaming-signs/
I don´t have the creativity to make a really funny one but if we
did it would be something about my puppy´s quest for socks.

Yeah, Nikola, but a Dachshund looks a bit like a dwarf or
mentally retarded dog, like there is something wrong with them,
like their legs never developed. And then they have that snout.
Like they should be big dogs but nature got it wrong with them
somehow.
The Corgi is adorable and they have those chopped-off looking
legs on them, but they’re cute.

If any Dachshunds are reading this, you're in serious trouble.

Yeah, Nikola, I didn’t think I could get into trouble insulting
a dog breed :)

A dog with short legs, a long body, falling ears. They are good
for hunting.

Sofia, I haven’t the faintest idea what one of those little
things could hunt, other than rodents

Steve, a wiener dog will hunt and fight to the death any
groundhog. They don't give up. I must say that I'm shocked that
you insulted a GERMAN dog.

Jerry, they do get one point for being German dogs, but I think
they lose at least a half a point for looking like dwarf-dogs.
:D

Wikipedia says about Dachshund:
The standard-size dachshund was developed to scent, chase, and
flush out badgers and other burrow-dwelling animals, while the
miniature dachshund was bred to hunt smaller prey such as
rabbits. In the Western United States, they have also been used
to track wounded deer and hunt prairie dogs.
