Your post reminds me of another ethnical joke :
On Greek people
A Greek and Italian were arguing over who had the superior
culture. The Greek says:
– We have the Parthenon.
Arching his eyebrows, the Italian replies:
– We have the Coliseum.
The Greek retorts:
– We Greeks gave birth to advanced mathematics.
The Italian, nodding agreement, says,
– But we built the Roman Empire.
And so on and so on until the Greek comes up with what he thinks
will end the discussion. With a flourish of finality he says:
– We invented sex!
The Italian replies:
– That is true, but it was the Italians who introduced it to
women.

Glad you asked Sofia.
At my age quality ;)
But that little non-scientific Mirror survey means nothing. How
large was the study sample? What controls were in place? What
age-range? And self-reporting? Ha. That’s not science.
One of the comments read, „We all know how the French lie.“
YEAH, that‘s a major problem.
I think I‘d put myself more in the London category, which is
fine. So, say you are a Frenchman, age 60, unmarried, alone and
not tremendously wealthy? What have you got left? Looking
forward to dying alone? Or spending money on prostitutes?

Ha, that‘s pretty funny. It kind of reminds me of the old adage,
„gay men are just doing what straight men would do if women
would let them.“ Probably true.

That‘s why I had to laugh when I read this:
„The number of sexual partners the typical Parisian has had (19)
is nearly double the national average of 11, according to the
survey, called Paris, City of Light, City of Debauchery?,
conducted by polling firm Ifop for dating website CAM4.“
19? That’s it? I think the gay friend I know (who had 1000
different sex partners over a 10 year period) probably hit the
19 mark the first 3 months after he started.
In any event, a survey of 2000 people in Paris, a city with a
population exceeding 2,000,000 in the main city and over
12,000,000 in the metro area? That doesn’t tell you very much.

Come on Steve, The Mirror is not to be taken seriously anyway,
it's a regular tabloid. I felt I could get away with such a link
in a light-hearted thread like this. If you want me to do some
serious research on the topic, I can ;)

Oh I know The Mirror is just a tabloid and not to be taken too
seriously. It‘s certainly not got the publication standards of
The New England Journal of Medicine or The Lancet ;)
But, I like tabloids, like Die Bild-Zeitung, one of my
favorites. I know it‘s a bit niveaulos you might say, bit what I
like about those papers is you can read them in a matter of
minutes, then just toss them out. Short simple to-the-point
articles. Of course, why Die Bild-Zeitung has to print huge
pages with huge print I never understood. So, you can pick up a
few not-so-important little stories (maybe true, maybe not so
true) in a matter of minutes. I‘m sure all large cities have
these sorts of papers.

Speaking of alberne Witze, here’s one that you probably have not
heard, but it‘s pretty well-known here:
What’s the difference between what gay men do on the second date
and lesbians? (I prefer saying „gay women“.....doesn’t that word
„lesbian“ sound stupid?)
Answer (as to gay men): What second date?
Answer (as to lesbians): rent a U-Haul (that‘s the big US
company that rents trucks for moving from house-to-house,
apartment-to-apartment or moving in with someone, among other
things).
I think women have a civilizing effect on men, at least
sexually, and to some extent (at least among young men in their
20s and 30s :D)
