Hi:)
I haven’t been here for ages doing my crazy project (startup for
a hotel which I finally did and left), some personal reasons and
tragedy with my dad, when suddenly, I got a message from Jerry
and realized that I’ve missed you.
Introduction has done... phew....:)
Due to the reasons I mentioned...or maybe it’s time to grow
up...I mean the next level of my personal development, I am
learning psychology actively... including individual and group
sessions with a psychologist.
I have read numbers of psychological books by now and would like
to ask if someone read “Woman running with the wolves” by
Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Ph.D? I fall in love with this book,
which announced as being suitable for both genders, though I
personally think it’s more for women.
Depth, the language , emotions and the practical usage are
amazing in my opinion... or for me?!) Could you please share
your thoughts if you read this book? Thanks
PS
By the way... my father lived in Ukraine... where Russian men
the age of 18-65 can’t come there since January,1,2019... even
as my family got a document confirmed the reason why...

The book was first released as an audio recording. I listened
to the recording several years ago, purchased through
soundstrue.com. They have re-released a newer CD with extras,
like pictures and things. Their audio download is also a bit
cheaper than getting it through Amazon.

It has been so many years that I only remember impressions in
general. It is a very good book--- totally different than the
usual psychobabble put out in self help books-- almost more like
literature and fables.
I remember especially being inspired by something she said about
some women having to find ways to thicken their skin. (Although
I have also listened to some of her other stuff-- so perhaps
that was in a different recording of hers.) How some are so
empathic that they can be affected by the bad mood of a grocery
cashier.
If you loved that book, you might want to listen to some of her
others.

I'm sorry for your loss and problems with going to Ukraine...
I've just ordered the book. I bet my wife will love it. Maybe
she will lend me to read it ;)

I don't think we've met but I've seen some of your old posts and
heard about you from others. You even appeared in the story we
wrote some time ago. Nice to meet you :)
I'll have to check out the book you mentioned, I do like
psychology.

I think Blonde was the one who posted that lovely song she heard
while having a business lunch and was embarrassed by the words?
What that you Blonde or someone else? Everyone else was aghast
by the lyrics but I thought it had a lovely melody and I‘m not
bothered by the lyrics - with the internet and YouTube, who
cares anymore?
It‘s a pretty song, and we are all adults here anyway
