European Parliament Elections - what about you?

Did you vote? Are you going to? Or do you think it doesn't
matter?
Hint: If you reply 'Nah, doesn't matter anyway', I'll probably
do a Rumpelstilzchen, but don't let that stop you. ;)

I'm at work today so I had to vote at 7 a.m. to be able to get
to work at 8. I think that voting is important for ourselves.
When I see the politician talking completely crazy things I
often happy to say: I'm glad I voted for the other option.
Sometimes may happen that a politician from my favourite party
starts talking nonsense - that's a sign for me that I should
reconsider something next time. People who don't go to the
elections for years, show that it doesn't make any difference to
them really - so they have no rights to complain later.
On the other hand I'm not very interested in politics and I
realised that only 4 candidates surnames were meaningful to me -
one from the list I voted for and 3 from the list I would never
give my voice in their favour. So I had very simple choice
(mainly because of my political laziness). But I think most
people vote like that. They agree more or less with one party
and political culture of its members and disagree with the
other. And whatever is the number of political parties - the
main battle usually goes between the one which forms government
and their main opposition.

I voted and I care, hence the discussion I started earlier this
week. I voted for a party I wouldn't necessarily support on the
national level at the moment (although I have done in the past)
but I agree on enough things with them and they have a lot of
knowledgeable people there who will not be intimidated by the
environment there, nor will they pretend they're doing something
and just enjoy the salary (needless to say the salary is
considerably higher than what the MPs get here). They want to
remain in the EU, they've managed to carry through the new
regulations on mobile network charges within the EU, introducing
a price cap on international calls. I like their sober approach
towards immigration in that they're neither too naive, nor too
dismissive.
Very curious to find out the results.

I didn't vote for the simple reason that I didn't have the right
to vote ;) (since I'm not a citizen of any EU member state). I
also haven't been paying much attention to the election. In
terms of sheer entertainment value, Brexit easily beats this
election, so I've spent most of my political popcorn on Brexit.
