Steve, you still haven't called in a pro? You are a stubborn
       old guy aren't you?
First of all you are a recent heart patient, and you get
involved in a bee war. Steve that is not a good idea.
Second, you may have killed the bees (they are remarkably
fragile) but you have not solved the problem. The nest has to
be destroyed and any honey removed or else it is very likely
another colony will move in and pick up where the last left off.
Or other insects will come, attracted by the honey.
Call a pro, and consider getting rid of the fruit trees.

Let those bugs come again and they will suffer the same fate as
bees did. Then, they come again and again, and maybe someday
they will learn don't mess with Steve.

Steve's going to be a Darwin Award winner if he keeps up his bee
       assassination adventures.

Thank you Pasha! You‘re like a good son.
Pasha is absolutely right. I appreciate his sentiments.
Those bees come back and they‘ll suffer the same fate as the
last ones. I’m sick of this sh*t.
And, I can‘t get rid of those, orange, lemon and grapefruit
trees (although I can‘t eat grapefruit. It interferes with my
heart medicine). Besides by dad planted them 50 years ago when I
was on 11, and they have sentimental value. And the deer family
sleeps down there (all 5 of those guys, the mommas with their
       babies and all).

Steve, with all those trees and animals around you, your life
sounds a bit like a Disney movie :)

Yes, it is like living in a wildlife sanctuary. EVERY morning
when I leave the house 2 or 3 deer come stampeding out from
under my porch at the front door where they hang out, and start
running. Then they stop and turn around and give my that blank
stare. And on the other side, a momma deer with one of her
babies usually crawls around by the house. I came home one day
and there were literally 5 of them just sitting by my road
chewing on leaves. They‘re not even afraid of me anymore. In the
car they just stare at me like, „Oh it‘s him again.“ Once I get
out of the car they start trotting away like I might try to do
something to them. Then we had a raccoon come through, and it‘s
the season now for the foxes to come through, just the females
with their babies. All that, not to mention the stray cats. We
had a big cat fight the other day with these two cats staring
eye-to-eye at each other. Then the fight started and the cat
hair was flying all over. My mom had to throw water on them to
break them up, and then they went flying. She feeds them out the
back door, and that attracts the raccoons and the possum. They
like the cat food but the raccoon dips the dry cat food in the
water first to clean it with its hands.
We’ve even got a golden pheasant that passes through now and
again, which is a pretty bird. But none of these little
creatures bothers me like the bees. If they could stay in their
little while boxes out in the country I‘d be happy.
One of these guys also likes to visit:
