Yeah, I know all of that. The bigger problem you have is that EU
countries are bound by some pact that y'all signed that promised
to take in refugees. I just read an article by a Swiss guy who
said, and I quote: "The Swiss have a lot of money but they're
very narrow-minded."
So maybe the better solution is to flood these countries with
money so that they won't come to your country. Basically, Europe
is a disaster. A continuing disaster, in my opinion. It has
almost no stability or the ability to figure out how to solve
problems that they made.
Again, I will state this clearly. I'd love for the US to pull
out of all countries. Can you imagine how that would work out? I
can. It doesn't take much imagination to see what would happen.

I'm sure it would cause some problems. But the US has caused so
much trouble all over the world that I'm willing to bet the net
effect would be positive. So please, next time you see Mr.
Trump, do ask him to pull out of, oh, just about everywhere.
Thanks. 8)

I'm sure I'll be at Mar a Lago this weekend for dinner. I'll
pass that along.

I agree with your conclusions, I am not sure we are the big bad
wolf in all of this -- that strikes me as a bit simplistic. We
went after Saddam because he was violating the no fly zone and
UN sanctions. Without Saddam the Shia's, who are the majority,
rose up and filled their rightful place -- this isn't our fault.
Sunnis left because they were oppressors.
I don't think you can lay Libya or the Arab Spring at our feet
either. We were late to the Libya thing, Britain and France
were already involved. Arab Spring caught everyone by surprise
and I remember being upset because so many of our politicians
did not support it. Syria? The king is certainly not our
friend, nor has he ever been. He deserves to be arrested for
using chemical weapons. ISIS grew out of the Syrian Civil War,
we didn't invent it.
So while I understand you are suffering under a load of refugees
I don't agree with the quick reaction to blame the US. As a
matter of fact, I think we did a few things in the Middle East
that made things better.
