       Washington State ranks best State in the US

       It came as no surprise to me that Washington State ranked very
       high in everything, as a relatively good place to visit and live
       (if you have to live in the US, which is tragic enough) but it
       did surprise me that California didn't rank number one as the
       best State in the US (I think we have some Central Valley
       rednecks who brought us down, the few Trump voters, you know-bad
       apples everywhere I suppose). (We came out at 19 out of 50.)I
       could see Washington as being number 2 after CA being number
       one. We did, of course, score better than Jerry’s Indiana and
       Neal’s New York, which are scraping the bottom of the barrel,
       only outdone as crummy places to live by dumps like Louisiana,
       Mississippi and Alabama. So, just a word to the wise, if any of
       the good folks in Europe or elsewhere have the misfortune of
       having to come to the US for anything, just steer clear of those
       low-end places. Stick to the West Coast where it’s safer and
       you’re not as likely to get shot or something.  ;)

       I am no fan of New York State, with its corrupt liberal wacko
       monopoly on government.  I do love Long Island, especially where
       I live.
       You're wrong on tourism, NY City is one of the biggest tourist
       attractions in the world, let alone the US.  And our State Park
       system is also quite nice.
