Its not only the preset resistor that we can use to adjust its
sensitivity, we can also use carbon composition resistor just
remember to buy the resistor with the needed computed resistance

The preset resistor can be turned up or down to increase or
decrease resistance, in this way it can make the circuit more or

Yes we can use preset resistor since it is a smaller PCB mounted
version of a potentiometer. It is use for the adjustment of
resistance flowing in a circuit

Circuit Wizard software has been used to display, the range of
values of a ORP12, LDR .
When a light level of 1000 lux (bright light) is directed
towards it, the resistance is 400R (ohms).
When a light level of 10 lux (very low light level) is directed
towards it, the resistance has risen dramatically to 10.43M
(10430000 ohms).
When the light level is low the resistance of the LDR is high.
This prevents current from flowing to the base of the
transistors. Consequently the LED does not light.
However, when light shines onto the LDR its resistance falls and
current flows into the base of the first transistor and then the
second transistor. The LED lights.
The preset resistor can be turned up or down to increase or
decrease resistance, in this way it can make the circuit more or
less sensitive.

RESISTOR MA'AM ;D
eto po may link about preset resistor
HTML http://www.technologystudent.com/elec1/preset1.htm
A preset resistor is a smaller PCB mounted version of a
potentiometer. These are useful where adjustment or
configuration of a circuit needs to be made but such adjustment
only occurs during building a circuit, not during normal use.An
appropriate value for the PICAXE system is 10k (do not use 100k
devices).
saka base po sa reply ko last time the preset resistor can be
turned up or down to increase or decrease resistance, in this
way it can make the circuit more or less sensitive. ::)

We are not limited to use only variable or preset resistor, we
can also use fixed resistor just make sure to buy the resistor
with the needed computed amount of resistance

Hello...Sensitivity of LDR is a parameter which is fixed at the
time of manufacturing.
If you use a variable resistor in series with LDR, the
sensitivity of the circuit (not the LDR) can be varied, but this
also leads to change in the value of current flowing through the
LDR.
