Prologue

You make your way to the edge of Khaki grounds and look back
over your shoulder, the last 2 years flashing before your eyes,
your successions, your failures and the love you lost... your
life behind you...
but you’re unsure if you'll go back.
Then you look in front of you to see a wolf standing less than a
meter away, to her left, is a lion and to her right, a tiger.
You do not question their presence, instead you’re watching the
wolf's deep blue eyes, but they weren’t watching you, she was
looking behind you, in the direction you came from.
You took the chance to up and down the wolf before you, her grey
fur, stunningly clean, her tail bushy, but smooth and soft. You
double glance at her blood red claws, unaware if their
blood-stained or naturally red, then finally you re-reach her
eyes, her deep blue eyes, which sparkled like sapphires. The
wolf then looks straight back at you and tilts her head, her
emerald eyes looking into yours... No she's not looking into
your eyes, she's looking deeper, deeper then the surface, so
deep... she's looking into your soul, but her intentions were
still unknown, this strange she-wolf, was she harmless or
harmful.
Her fangs bared as she asks you a question.
"Are you ready to leave your old life behind?" You feel the
sting of her eyes looking deeper into you, digging deeper for
more, more of your hurt, more of your suffering, more of your
love, more of your life.
Her voice ringing through your mind for an answer, but you can't
answer you don’t know what to say, you take in her question and
think deeply about you answer. Were you truly ready to leave
everything behind, your family, your friends, your pack, your
life?
The wolf's left ear twitches as she glances in the direction of
the lion. His fangs were showing his claws out, then her right
ear twitches as she glances to the tiger, who displayed the same
actions as the tiger. The wolf then looks back at you, your eyes
are closed and the wolf growls as both the lion and the tiger
retract their claws and unbare their teeth. She then looks back
at you as her vision becomes confused. The lion and the tiger
both sit on either side of the wolf, then you look back at her.
Her confusion clear.
The wolf wanted an answer and she wanted it now...[/center]
