Now that was an ugly game if you were a Canuck fan...
but if you were an old time hockey, Slapshot the movie type of
hockey fan you just ate it up!
The next game ought to be very, very interesting in how it's
played. The Canucks are going to keep their cool and play their
game, the Sedines are gonna have to earn their pay and prove
their worth and Luongo is going to have to have a short memory.

       depends which twin shows up.
Of the Luongos, I mean - great goalie, or awful goalie. How
       DOES he do that?
Amazing, Thomas has given up 6 in 5 games, and they are losing!

Screw the Bruins and while you're at it, Screw the Canucks...
4-0 in the first frickkin period with 6 minutes to play...
I looked forward to this all day and now I'm forced to turn over
to the Mariner game when it starts. What a waste of anticipation
for a possible Stanley Cup winning game by the Canucks...
Oh well, guess a few cold ones will help.

Agree and agree ........ but but agree WAAY more with the first.
No-class thugs Thomas and Bergeron excepted.
Van wins - BIG asterix for lack-of-heart
Bos wins - 1974 and 1975 all over again.
       F Chara
       F Colin Campbell
       F Mike Murphy
Boychuk escapes suspension for hit on Raymond

Why I want Van to win:

       - 1st Cup in 40 ; Toronto looks even more pathetic
Why I want Van to lose:

       - Uninspiring, bland twins

       - above average quota of pests: Hansen, Lapierre, Burrows, and
       that 1/2-house recidivist Torres

       - Obnoxious Green Men and their frustration over their (own)
       lack of on ice talent

       - most-over-rated goaltender in 2000's

       - Canadian, Schmanadian; salary-cap and C$ obviates previous
disadvantages, just keep Cup away from "sun-belt" one-shot
       wonders.
Why I want Boston to win:

       - .........

       - Actually, they are (were) intense rivals who weren't classless
       pukes like Toronto

       - They are not Toronto

       - Tim Thomas

       - Patrice Bergeron
Why I want Boston to lose:
       - Rogues list of unrepentant classless pukes:

       - Chara on Pacioretty

       - Dr. Frickin' Recchi

       - Lucic on Spacek

       - Boychuk on Halpern

       - Ference on Halpern

       - Ference's finger to hockey fans

       - El Spazzo by-the-minute behind the bench

       - Proud Papa Colin Campbell

       - his nervous subordinate Mike Murphy

       - Jack "black-and-yellow-bowel-movement" Edwards
Needless to say F-Boston and one-hand clap for the Canucks if
       Van wins; otherwise ....

I don't think I can recall a SCF with two less likeable teams.
I respect the Sedin twins and genuinely (if a little guiltily)
like Tim Thomas. But after that? Buncha assholes. Kessler?
Burrows? Ferrence? That weasel Marchand? Hell, any time Max
Lapierre is not even among the top five assholes in a series,
you know you're in greaseball heaven.
Oh well. As Freep pointed out, it could be worse. At least
       neither team is from Toronto.

pretty common take on these finals. I wonder how the ratings
are? I know I haven't seen as much as I normally would. I
didn't really like either team before this, I'm losing the
respect I had for Boston as a rival.
NEXT year's finals will be better!
