not neccesarily. Boosh wasn't great, but wasn't nearly as bad
as the team in front of him. Bob let in one where his own
defenseman fired a hard pass to a B standing all alone next to
the net, and another with Betts tying him up so he couldn't come
across. And even with the team playing awful, they managed 3 on
Thomas. That one wasn't about goalies.

That's it, I'm done with this team this year. How in the world
can they totally not show up for a game that huge?
keep JVR, Briere, Giroux, Bob, I don't care what happens to
anyone else on the team or the staff.
Last year's slogan was "Relentless"
It appers this year's is "Couldn't care less"

Holmgren refuses to blame goaltenders......
This organization continues to live in denial. They haven't had
a goalie that could carry a team since Hextall, and haven't had
a goalie that could slam the door shut on a team since Parent.
And tell me this, how do you not sign the goaltender that beat
your a s s in the SCF, when Chicago cuts him loose and he
becomes a UFA???

this wasn't about goaltenders. Niemi didn't beat the Flyers
last year. Roy or Broduer would have been swept, Niemi would
have looked foolish. If Niemi was the answer, why did Chicago
dump him? Why did so many other teams let him sit?
The goaltenders weren't good, but the team in front of them just
never showed up. A disgraceful lack of desire. Have to look at
the coach and captain first, why were they not able to (or
didn't try) to have thsi team working. Then dump the rest of
the dead weight.
If you NEED a goalie that can carry a team, you've got a problem
with your team. I'd rather have a team that doesn't need
carrying, with a solid goalie.

can't say I'm surprised by Tampa's smackdown of Boston. I did
expect they would come out slow after the Flyers lulled them to
sleep. Real playoff games are about 2x that speed
