...dropping in for a quick cup of coffee and 'hello' to
all...workwise it's been one busy week and this being a rainy
weekend means more work...two more weeks of intensive work to
follow... :o :'(

just finished the ground and 6th floor revisions...4th and 5th
floor revisions will be done tomorrow...and, it rained here most
of the day...
a friend who lives just west of here took this photo today and
posted this on his f/b...some construction worker was having
fun... ::)

interesting
I was an art major when I was in college and one of our projects
was to make a piece of art out of something unconventional.. I
made a table out of an old cord spool(the ones telephone and
light companies use). I cut a sheet of plywood to fit the top,
nailed it on, then drew a pattern to match the look you would
get if you dropped a pebble in a bucket of water(rippling out).
Then I took several bags of aquarium gravel that was different
colors and glued a color into a different ring. I glued a strip
around the rim of the table, and poured resin on top of it
sealing it.. Then I stained and varnished the rest of the spool.
It came out really pretty and I got an A for it.. the teacher
said I really thought outside the box. :)
Let me tell you though.. it was a bitch loading that thing into
a Ford Pinto when I had to drive it to my class..It barely
fit... thank god it rolled.. it was easy to get it from the car
to the class

Marcia, your project sounds great...I can relate to transporting
projects, mine had to be carried on the subway... :D

up early today, my daughter had to be at school for
7:15am...time for my second cup of coffee then shower and get
ready for an out of town appointment in Guelph...another busy
week and the weather is gloomy...I hate it when it's dark all
day and non-stop drizzle... :(
