The Aftermath (Matt, Stephanie, Ashley, Simon, Marisol, Kevin &a
mp; Christine)

Simon and Marisol pull up to Christine's place. She lived in a
house up in a wooded, gated area that over looked a large lake.
Simon punched in the code and the gate opened. He drove down the
drive to the house and got out. He pulled out his key and opens
the door.
Marisol: Are you sure we shouldn't knock first?
Simon: Yeah, if I know Chrissy, she is probably sulking
somewhere. She wouldn't answer the door.
They close the door and walk down the hall to Christine's room.
There they see her sitting on her bed looking at a scrapbook.
Christine: Those were happier days. Never see them again.
Simon: You might.
Christine: Doubt it. My life is over. It's the end of the world
as I know it. Just... I don't feel fine. I don't feel anything
but pain.
Simon: Now Angel isn't going to come out and attack Matt?
Christine: No... she won't. She will be there... but she
promised. She is going to be good an stay away. Just have to
deal with the low life, loser of a misfit. The heartless and
soulless one that has no place in this world.
Simon: Now stop that. Do you really want to have the kids see
you like this?
She shakes her head.
Christine: They wouldn't of had to... if things were different.
She starts to shake and Simon goes over to hold her.
Simon: SHHH... let it out. I really think you need this. You
need those kids. They need to see you and know your ok.
She nods as Kevin walks in.
Simon: Ok the gangs all here now. You ready sis?
Christine: I guess...
Marisol: Hey, let me help you fix your hair. I think you need a
little pampering.
Christine: Thank you. Don't feel like pampering but Yeah...
sense I am seeing Matt and the kids... the go ahead.
Simon: Yeah he said Steph and Ashley was there too.
Christine: Yeah, Steph is sweet.
Simon: She is also worried about you.
Christine: No one needs to worry about me. I am not that
important.
Kevin: Yes you are.
Christine: No I am not. I don't know why everyone is wasting
their time with me.
Simon: Cause you are not a waste of time.
Marisol gets Christine's hair pulled up and they walk out to
Simon's car as he locks the house. They get in and start to
drive. Marisol sits in the back with Christine as Kevin sits in
front. After a couple of hours they pull up to the house. They
head to the door and Simon rings the bell. Then all of the
sudden they see Jamie answer the door. He looks shocked to see
Christine and hurries to open the door and then smiles as he
sees her.
Jamie: Mom?
Christine: Hi Jamie.
Jamie lets them in and then runs to find his dad.
Jamie: Dad! Dad! Mom's home. Mom is here!
Matt gets up and follows Jamie as Christine is looking at the
floor.
Simon: Hey Matt... Um... you ok? You look upset. Did we come at
a bad time?

I look at Simon then i start to speak

the kids.
Simon looks at me then she starts to speak

Simon: What? Why?
Christine: Cause, she probably found out her kids were with a
psycho and freaked. Hell... anyone would. I ain't fit for
nothing.
Simon: Yes you are. Come on Chrissy. Stop beating yourself up.
She shakes her head and walks into the other room and sits down.
Simon: Ok, What happened? I thought you two were going to work
it out for the kids? Hell Chrissy thought she was moving in to
be closer to them.

I look at Simon then i start to speak
:Matt Ward: it was more like she was wondering why i am so
worried about Christine. I straight up told her because she is
the mother of my kids and i still care for her. Then she said i
should go play hero.
Simon and Christine mouth drops as Simon starts to speak

Simon: What? Is she pushing you away? Is she trying to push you
back with Chrissy?
Christine looks at Matt.
Christine: What did you say?
She then looks down again.

I do what i done before our fuck ups, i defended you because she
was pissing me off. She says she looking out for Brooklyn and
Caleb and she wants to have them live with her. No i will not
allow it because they are in school in Chicago not out by her.
Christine looks at me then she starts to speak

Christine: You... you stood up for me?
Simon smiles seeing a slight sparkle of his sister.
Christine: But you didn't have to. I haven't deserved it. I
ain't worth it.
She gets quiet a moment and before anyone could say anything...
they could see a slight change.
Christine: I can't believe you would still do that. Heck...
Angel can't believe you did that. I... I think she shocked her.
Simon: You mean... she isn't right there?
Christine: No she isn't right here. Not anymore. She was when I
first walked in.
Simon looks at Matt as he looks at Simon then they look at
Christine as Scotty comes running around the corner and tackles
his mom followed by the other kids. Christine start to laugh as
the kids all pile on top of her.
Simon: I knew she needed the kids. But I think her hearing that
you stood up for her... I think that didn't just surprise
Chris... I think you surprised Angel.
