Phata poster 1st week collection is 32 crore

Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Souza starrer
Phata Poster Nikhla Hero has managed to
grab decent amount of attention from the
audiences across the country. As per
       early estimates, this Rajkumar Santoshi
directorial made a business of around 6
crores, which is not very excellent,
however, not that disappointing too! The
movie had taken a good start, however,
couldn’t pick up much in the evening and
       night shows.

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero Movie Stills
Being a complete mass entertainer, Phata
Poster Nikhla Hero performed very well in
the single screens especially in the mass
belts! The collections could have been
little better, had it performed well in the
multiplexes too. The film collected good
moolah from the UP and Mumbai circuit,
but an average collections are being
       recorded from Delhi, East Punjab,
       Rajasthan, Nizam and West Bengal!
Nevertheless, a good pick up is expected
       today and tomorrow, considering a
positive word of mouth publicity coming
       in!

Despite getting a wider release, Shahid
Kapoor’s Phata Poster Nikhla Hero failed
to pick up on Day 2 i.e. Saturday at the
Box Office. Single screens were expected
to do a better business than the
multiplexes, given the film’s overall mass
       appeal. However, yesterday, PPNH
witnessed a drop in the single screens,
while a considerably better response was
       seen coming from multiplexes.

The final collections are still being
compiled, however, as per early estimates
PPNH made a business of around 7
crores on its 1st Saturday at the Domestic
       Box Office. This Rajkumar Santoshi
directorial now stands at a domestic total
of about 13 crores at the Box Office.
The collections are surely below average
and the film might have to struggle a lot
to come up with decent opening weekend
       numbers.

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero saw a natural
drop on the its first day of the week at
the Box Office. The film earned in the
range of 3 crores on its 1st Monday and
has so far snowballed to 25 crores at the
       domestic box office.
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Barfi! starlet
Ileana D’Cruz in the lead roles, the film
was an out and out entertainer directed
by Rajkumar Santoshi. Shahid Kapoor has
seen a couple of low films in the last few
years and this venture was expected to be
a reviver of sorts for him. However, the
film’s growth has been deterred due to
the swell that Grand Masti has attained at
the box office and still toppling the
relatively newer releases at the box office.

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is holding well
on the weekdays too. According to early
trade estimates, the film earned in the
range of 3 crores on its 1st Tuesday. The
total income of this venture so far rests at
28 crores at the domestic box office.
This was the first time Shahid Kapoor has
donned a character ala Dabangg and
luckily there have been more praises for
his role than criticism. However, director
       Rajkumar Santoshi has defied his
standards by letting the story run haywire
towards the later part of the film.
       Delivering satisfactory entertainment, the
film’s start was promising but Grand
Masti‘s knockout spree is giving the film a
       beating!

Re: Phata poster collection upto tuesday is 32 crore
       By: nitishkumar1995 Date: September 27, 2013, 5:16 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
With the kind of below average weekend
that Phata Poster Nikhla Hero had gone
through, it was always going to be an
uphill task for the film to see a
       turnaround. Thankfully though, the fall
wasn’t too steep and though there was a
gradual slide in collections, the Rajkumar
Santoshi directed film still managed to
collect around 32 crore at the box office.
Considering the fact that the film had
arrived with a lot riding on it for all
involved, these numbers are just about
       decent. Moreover, these collections are
just a little better than Mausam 29
crore which had released two years back.
The film has still got a decent screen
count in the second week. However to
gain maximum benefit out of it, the word
of mouth of this Shahid Kapoor starrer
had to be truly fantastic, which is not
       really the case. Moreover, Besharam
       releases on Wednesday itself which
means the advantage is only for five days.
As a result, the film may cross the 40
crore mark but that’s about it, though it
has to be seen if lifetime collections of
Kaminey 42 crore would be eventually
       surpassed.
