The hot and sexy Hunar Hali who is playing the antagonist in the
Life OK show Ek Boond Ishq is excited with the way her character
is shaping up in her show.
Says Hunar, “It is very challenging to play Nandini for she is a
gold digger while I personally go for heart and not money.
Nandini is obsessed with Aditya (Dishank Arora) even after he
has spurned her. If in real life a guy would tell me it’s over,
I would not even give him a second glance. Hunar does not chase
men; rather it is always the other way around. Hence I have to
switch off when I get into the character’s shoes. Also playing a
seductress is always a tough ask.”
Hunar also does not fear that her character will become a
caricature vamp. “When I essay a character, I try to imagine
myself in her shoes and try to react. Also being a movie buff I
have examples of how to do the required stuff. One thing what I
know is that we people do have a bitch inside; we just need to
sit down and isolate her.”
“Here I must confess that sometimes when we have telecast
deadlines and we shoot back to back and I don’t get time to
internalise situations, I sometimes do go OTT (over the top),”
confides Hunar.
“The biggest challenge in playing someone who throws herself at
a man is that despite knowing that I am playing a character, the
ego in me comes out screaming that why the hell should I waste
my time on someone who does not care for me. And I end up
reacting differently to what the scene demands of me. Imagine a
pretty girl walking down the road and a guy ignoring her and the
worst part is that she still pins for him. Then the director
screams Hunar what are you doing? and I say sorry sir, it is
just that Hunar took over.”
