       Simi Garewal to don Director's hat after 25 years

       After having helmed Rukhsat that had actors like Mithun
       Chakraborty, Anuradha Patel, Marc Zuber, Rohini Hattangadi and
       Amrish Puri way back in 1988, Simi Garewal is gearing up to
       direct a film again. The new film is likely be shot in New York
       and Moscow.
       Without giving out much, the 66-year old actress said, "We are
       still in the scripting stage. Having earlier directed
       documentaries, commercials, this will be my humble entry into
       directing films. I like being a technician."
       Talking of her being active on the small screen, the actress
       added, "I would be there on small screen back with my show
       Rendezvous next year.” Incidentally, besides hosting the show,
       Simi is also the writer-director of Rendezvous with Simi
       Garewal.
       She has also directed a three-part TV documentary series -
       India's Rajiv (1991).
       The actress is known for her memorable roles in films like Do
       Badan, Karz, Saathi and Mera Naam Joker among others.
