       After a sabbatical, Kanan Malhotra all set to make a comeback on
       TV

       Kanan Malhotra, who had a taken a sabbatical after his last Zee
       TV show Rab Se Sohna Isshq wrapped up, is now gearing to make a
       comeback on small screen.
       “After working nonstop for four years, I decided to take a break
       for a couple of months. During which I worked on my physique.
       Now with my batteries recharged, I am in talks for a few
       projects and if all works out you will soon see me in a fresh
       project again.”
       Ask him about Rab Se Sohna Isshq and Kanan says, “I had a great
       time working with Zee TV and the production house (Jay Mehta
       Productions).”
       Push him further and he does admit, “Towards the end all the
       characters become completely different from what they had
       started with. I don’t know why this happened. My character
       (Daljeet) was eased out 10 days before the show finally shut
       shop.”
       Looking ahead, Kanan who had also played lead in Sawaare Sabke
       Sapne – Preeto (Imagine TV), is now tired of playing positive
       characters. “I would love to be the baddie now.”
       He is not afraid that the audiences will hate him. “I think now
       viewers have matured enough to distinguish between the character
       and actor. And ultimately I wish to be known as an actor who can
       do all kind of roles.”
       In closing, Kanan says, “The biggest thing I have learnt about
       the industry is that one needs to be punctual and devoted to
       your work. Anything else does not matter really. I have also
       understood that acting is inbuilt and you can’t learn it.”
