While the viewers, the channel (Life OK) and the production
house (Triangle Film Company) are extremely pleased about the
way things have shaped up so far in Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, there
is one actor who claims to take all the credit for the increase
in numbers from the time he marked his entry.
Yes, the very talented actor Sudesh Berry who essays a dual role
on the show as Mani and Malla claims that from the time Devon Ke
Dev…Mahadev marked Sudesh’s entry, the numbers have not only
       increased, but have doubled up.
The actor proudly said, “Look at the TVT chart and you will know
the difference. The actors, producers and the channel are well
aware of this fact. I need a platform, a push to showcase my
diversity as an actor and I got this opportunity through Devon
Ke Dev…Mahadev. It is a direct proof that people and my fans
love me, and they want to see me on-screen, be it any form of
       acting.”
Three cheers to you Sudesh, but why is there a sudden outburst
       of emotions?
The actor stated, “I have been in the industry for so long, but
I am yet to get due recognition from. I am sorry that being an
Indian I have to say this, but I can say that they are very
self-centered and can get down when it comes to morals. Talking
about films, right from the time of Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ghayal
released in 1990 to the recent, I have never got an opportunity
to play a protagonist or an antagonist, to add more diversity to
my roles and showcase my talent as an actor. I have always been
cast in a supportive role. Even while essaying the roles, my
portions used to get cut so much that my fans got to see bits of
my acting. I can give you numerous examples of incidences.”
“Even with Zee TV’s Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, every actor
was blowing his/her own trumpet of how well they acted. I did
not want to clarify myself at that point as I did not have a
direct proof. Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev gave me an opportunity not
only to perform and add a variation to my character but help me
realize that there was a swarm of fan-base out there to watch me
in whatever role I play,” he added.
Sudesh also mentioned in his interaction with Tellychakkar.com
that he is in plans to start his own production house where he
can soil himself more and make sure what he faced (in terms of
recognition), other talented actors don’t meet the same fate.
The fine-looking actor will soon be seen for a while as Drupad
       on Star Plus show Mahabharat.
The veteran actor ended on a positive note saying that he is
open to films and television if his character is given
sufficient light and is brought into focus. He averred, “After
all, an actor needs to market his talent, right? Everyone does
       that.”
       Way to go, Berry!!
