       I feel that episodics will not help me enhance my profile as an
       actor – Jay Soni

       Cute and affable Jay Soni rose to fame in the world of
       television by essaying the character of Ishaan opposite Ragini
       Khanna in Sasural Genda Phool on Star Plus. The talented actor
       who is currently shooting for second season of Colors show,
       Sanskaar - Dharohar Apno Ki, talks to Tellychakkar.com about his
       dream role.
       Jay, who has always essayed roles of a cute chocolate-boy, now
       feels that he should be given a chance to play a grey-shaded
       character. Like the one he essayed in Star Plus' Dharti Ka Veer
       Yodha Prithviraj opposite Prithviraj Chauhan.
       Jay gives us some clarity on this.
       He says, “I want to play a character of a rich spoilt brat who
       is a Casanova, arrogant and a temperamental person. It has been
       quite some time that I have not added a distinction to my
       character roles.”
       The fine-looking actor also informs us that he is not interested
       in doing episodic roles, which might give him a chance in
       playing a grey-shaded or a negative role.
       “I feel that episodics would not help me enhance my profile as
       an actor. I would like to take up a long running show which I
       feel is much more beneficial to my profile than doing cameos.”
       Finally, he ends by saying, “As for now, my next would be acting
       in films while I am open to television shows also. I will take
       up the script which appeals to me the most and it would be an
       immediate nod if it is a ‘rich spoilt brat’ kind of a role.”
