I'd love to see a sweep, but with this being Lester's 1st start
from an injury I'm cautious. I think it's an early game today?
I'll have to look. I might be able to catch some of it at
lunch.

Woot!
Zoner, why wasn't Baez out of the baseline? I was in the
kitchen at the time and saw the replay, but didn't get to hear
the whole discussion except for something about a judgement call
by the umps? I'm glad it was called the way it was, but didn't
quite understand how they came to that conclusion.

Once the first baseman tried to tag El Mago, the first base
"running lane" (the three feet wide box in foul territory along
the first base line) is moot. It then becomes a regular tag
play, like anywhere else. On regular tag plays, base runners
establish their own baseline (usually three feet on either side
of the bag, as a rule of thumb).
In the judgement of the umpires, El Mago did not go outside of
the established baseline when he evaded the tag of the inferior
baseball player trying to tag him.
Thus, *poof* El Mago was safe!

I watched the innings where they scored this morning. Saw very
little of the game last night, because we were awful busy. lol
We were having way too much fun.
