At last count I think we got a utility guy that'll get mostly
used off the bench, an outfielder for his offense & a couple of
pitchers. The Cubs gave up CJ, a couple of A or AA guys and
Maldonado who they just got when Willson was hurt. Also, some
sports writers have already handed the NL Central to the
Cardinals. Whatever.

The Cardinals are garbage and will miss the playoffs. Again.
CJ Edwards just doesn't have it anymore. The dude they got for
him doesn't appear like much.
Tony Kemp, the utility man they got from the Astros, will
probably end up playing second base a lot in the next few weeks.
Who would have guessed that the Cubs would end up missing Tommy
LaStella?
Nicholas Castellanos is probably going to be the Cubs fifth best
hitter moving forward. His defense is not so much with the good.
He'll replace Almora's limp noodle bat, so that's good.
They didn't fix the bullpen, not by a long shot.

I was under impressed by the newbies last night except for
Castellanos. I can see him being a major contributor. I hope
everybody else was just jet lagged. ;)
