Sorry he has to have surgery, but it does bring a smile to your
face when it's not your team with the bad luck for a change.
       heh

       Wait 'Til Next Year!
In a move to appease me, the Cubs won't be starting Bryan LaHair
at first base on Opening Day, saving him the embarrassment of
having to strike out four times against Stephen Strasburg. They
are coming around to the fact that LaHair isn't an every day
       player. Good on them!
(actually, he's got a sore back, but I'm not above claiming
       victory due to unforeseen circumstances)
So, it will actually be the useless against right-handers Jeff
Baker striking out four times against Strasburg today.
       Go Cubs!
(Keep your sense of humor, everyone. You're gonna need it this
       season.)

Dempster is making me a nervous wreck already. ugh Loved
seeing Bill Murray run the bases & throw out the 1st pitch..that
       was too good.

On the bright side, Ryan Dempster pitched pretty well after the
first three innings and if he continues to do so, he'll build
       his potential trade value.
That's the only positive thing that came out of today's game.
The offense is gonna stink like this all season, though.
