Jimenez Diaz Moncloa

My son was born at the Jimenez Diaz hospital in Moncloa and
overall I had a good experience. My midwife was amazing and very
pro-natural birth. She encouraged me to hold off on the epidural
until I was almost fully dilated, I received a semi-epidural in
the end and could still move. There was no gas and air, but I
did get injected with something (I forget what) which worked as
a mild pain killer long before the epidural.
I went to give birth at the end of 2013 and was told that in
2014, there would be a birth pool available for water births.
The hospital food was very good and when I had trouble with
breastfeeding the advice and help was very genuine and decent.
One downside was that I was not allowed to drink any water
during labour (torture) and when I ended up having an emergency
c-section my husband was not allowed into the operating theatre.
