Archery 101

Darwin would head to his next class after having a close
encounter with a bear trap, triggering it accidentally as he
almost lost half his face. He walked in to the archery range
behind the college where all the student's were gathered for the
class, the teacher was there wielding a recurve bow in hand with
a quiver on his back and holding a broadhead arrow in one hand
as he adresses the class.
"Good morning and welcome to Archery 101 class, my name is
mister Lance, just Lance not the mister part haha. In this class
you will learn proper use of a bow, the diferent types of bow
and their range, all the different types of arrowheads and what
each one is used for as well as how to craft your very own bow
by the end of the class and maintenance of your weapon as well
as crafting arrows. Before you are a number of targets set at
diferent ranges which i will use to test your accuracy and skill
so i can properly teach you individually how to use a bow. There
are a number of practice recurve bows over there on the rack and
safety arrows i want each of you to grab a bow and try to hit
the targets at 10m, 15m and 20m ."
Darwin would pick up one of the bows exited to test his skill as
he had never ever once used such a weapon. He watches as other
students go before him some completely missing the mark and
others missing but shooting close enough, only 2 students manage
to hit the targets at 10m before it's his turn. He walks up to
the range nervous as he grabs the bow notch the arrow and takes
a deep breath as he brings tension to the string as he notches
the arrow and aims. He then lets the arrow lose as it misses the
target at 10m, he was disappointed but tries again as this time
he manages to hit the target way off center but a hit none the
less.
"Hoi! i got it.
He then tries his luck at 15m but this one was a no go, no
matter how many times he shot he could't not manage to hit it.
Hoi! it's hard.
The teacher notices the way Darwin was holding the bow, his
posture and the amount of preasure he was putting on the bow and
string as that was what was trowing him off to hit the mark. He
walks over and gives him some instructions and pointers as he
adjust Darwins posture and the amount of stress he placed on the
bow.
"You can do it young one, you have skill but your form is off,
now try again just like i taught you."
Darwin takes another crack at it and as he lets the arrow loose
it finds his mark suprisingly this time, only 2 inches off
center, it was the best score yet out of the entire class.
"I did it!."
"There are a few of you here who have natural talent like young
Darwin, the rest of you will need to work hard to achieve your
goals while in class, but under my guidance i will make
magnificent archers out of all of you."
The teacher teaches them the proper form for shooting and the
class goes on.
