Julian's Grimoire Studies
By: JuanDaKidd Date: January 26, 2019, 11:50 pm

“Welcome to Grimoire Studies 100…This is a intro class to….”
Says a teacher as he stops mid-sentence after apparently being
interrupted. “I am sorry I am late, I got caught up trying to
find my class room.” Says Julian as he slides in front of the
door placing both his hands on the frame of door breathing
heavily as if he had run to the class.
“It is fine for today only Mr. Brightstar, if I am
correct?” responds the teacher as he watches Julian walk
into the classroom and sit at his desk in the middle of the
class. “It is the first day of class, so I will let it slide
this one time so please be on time from now on Mr. Brightstar.”
He adds.“Won’t happen again I can guarantee it” responds Julian
with a smirk on his face as he sits back in his chair with his
hair tied back into a pony tail. He looks around the room and
sees that everyone has their grimoire on the desk.
“The only thing I want everyone to do today for the first day is
take your grimoire and study what has been written in it. Even
if you don’t understand it. Just read it.” Says the teacher as
he paces back and forth in the front of the class.
Julian looks around at everyone else’s grimoires and sees that
everybody has old looking books but for some reason his book is
seemingly the most updated as if it was from the future or
something.
“We’ll lets get started for the day” Thinks Julian to himself as
he takes his grimoire out and begins to read what’s in it.
By the end of the class Julian has read all that he could and
most of it he does not understand it at all. “Class before I
dismiss you all I hope you read the writings in your books, I
don’t expect you to understand it or maybe even read your books
depending on what you have been assigned. By the end of the
semester my goal is make sure you understand something out of it
thou even if it is just 1 thing.” Says the teacher as he sits on
the edge of his desk with his arms folded. “See you guys next
time.” He adds.
Julian stands up and gathers his belongings and head out for the
day.

It’s about half way through the semester and Julian has been
thoroughly studying his new grimoire and the abilities he now
possess. “Welcome Class, as you know we are about half way
through with this semester and so far I am proud to have you
all….Even you Julian.” He adds as he looks at him. Julian sits
in his desk he usually sits in and looks forward while leaning
back in his chair as a smirk grows on his face at his teacher
comments. “I know, I love you as well Teach.” Julian says as the
rest of the class laughs. The teacher smiles a bit as he walks
over to his desk to sit down.
“Now let us cut to the chase class. We have a mid-term
assignment per say, I want all of you to show me or explain to
me one spell you have picked up from your grimoire in this
class.” He says. The class has mixed feelings about this because
some of them are learning faster than others. Julian has been
studying his grimoire pretty hard and only knows one spell; his
second spell is a work in process for him as he continues
practicing it. Fortunately he should pass the mid-term
assignment.
“Now who is going first?” asks the teacher as he makes a hand
gesture for the first student to come up to the front of the
class.
“Me! Me!” says an eager girl in the front of the class. Julian
looks up and sees it’s a girl he has grown quite accustomed to,
the girl he met in his gym class. “Ashley…” he mumbles to
himself as his face turns a shade of pink.
“Well come on up Ashley.” Confirms the teacher as she sits up
from her desk and walks to the front of the room. She sees
Julian sitting near the back and waves at him with such
excitement. He throws his hand up to let her know he saw her.
The teacher notices the exchange and a wary look grows on his
face. “I hope she isn’t getting involved with that boy.” “Okay
I’m ready…”says Ashley as she throws her hand out and a small
pink grimoire appears, similar to a composition book.
Julian had seen Ashley grimoire once before during one of their
study sessions but this was the first time he seen her intend on
using an actual spell. “Pollen Spore” says Ashley as a light
burst from the book and her hair blows backs and the classmates
near the front of the class have to block their eyes, even the
teacher. “My grimoire has the ability for me to create plant
properties/abilities.” Says Ashley and as she says that the
light has cleared and a plant has grown out of her book,
blossomed and released what looks to be pollen as it floats
around the classroom. “Cool!” yells some of the classmates.
“Good job Ashley, I see studying has paid off you.” Says the
teacher as he claps, with the rest of the class soon joins in
with him. Ashley smiles and closes her book and joyful makes her
way back to her desk. “Thank you all.” Says Ashley as she sits.
Julian sits in awe to her grimoire abilities and the only thing
he can think about is how pretty her ability looks complementing
how pretty he thinks she is.
“Who is next?” asks the teacher. “I’ll go teach, let me go ahead
and get mines out the way for the class period.” Says Julian as
he stands up with his hair tied back into a pony tail and makes
his way to the front. “Wait let me see who else…” begins the
teacher but he eventually gives in. “This should be
interesting.” He thinks to himself.
Julian holds his hand out as a grimoire appears in his hand. He
has a regular sized, blue/gray grimoire but the design of it
seems to be much more advanced than others. Ashley eyes are
glued to Julian as he begins to show his grimoire abilities and
like him to her, she had never seen him use his spell.
“Digitize” says Julian as one of the rings on his finger glows.
He reaches out and touches the desk of the teacher and a
rainbow-colored pattern flashes across the desk, seconds after
the desk disappears piece by piece as if disintegrating.
“Wow!” says the class as they saw what Julian had just did.
“What did you just do?” asks the teacher as he seemed in awe.
“My grimoire gives me the ability to create and manipulate data,
through the use of this ring.” Says Julian as he raises his hand
and the rings on his finger glisten from the sunlight. Ashley is
almost about to pass out from excitement and seeing that Julian
actually has a cool ability.
“I am not familiar with this data, you speak of Julian.” Says
the teacher “Like I said interesting none the less.” Adds the
teacher as he begins to clap. “Good job, Julian.”
The rest of the class claps, as Ashley yells out. “You did great
Julian!” a red blush grows on Julian face as his book
disappears. “Now…Can I have my desk back?” asks the teacher.
A embarrassed look grows on Julian face. “You see that is where
the issue lies. I don’t know how to recall things that I
digitzed.” Says Julian as he rubs his hand on the back of his
still looking embarrassed.
“You’re kidding me, right….” replies the teacher with a grim
look on his face as the rest of the class laughs.
