       Mile's Part-Time Job: Day 1

       It was Mile’s first day of work at her part-time job at the
       local bakery. After hearing of her unique situation, the Academy
       reached out to help her find a place to earn extra money. Many
       students that went to Eckland had lost their parents or were
       down on their luck, but most at least had a few possessions that
       they could call their own. Outside of the school uniform, Mile’s
       only outfit was a set of cheap leather armor and a yellow
       ribbon. Even her trusty wooden blade was borrowed from the
       school gym. Because of this, the elderly couple that ran the
       bakery were happy to take her in.
       Her day was mostly uneventful. For the most part, she was
       simply shown around ad introduced to all the different kinds of
       bread that was available at the store. Her job, as of now, was
       simply to greet customers and wrap up their purchases. The
       baking was done in the early morning hours and was all done by
       the time Mile arrived. Thanks to her presence, the bakery owners
       would be able to have a single day off per week. Her first real
       day would start next week.
