Obtaining Grimoires!

The sun would be shining brightly down onto the doors of the
great hall, a large crowd gathering within it, why? Because
today was one of the many days throughout the year where up and
coming magic users came to claim their Grimoires. Iec had been
waiting for this day, a large smile was plastered onto his face
as he walked up the steps. Pushing the door open he glanced
around the area to see the huge crowd of people gathered inside.
All around the area books were stacked on shelves and in front
of him was the summoning area and the great priest responsible
for leading the ceremony.
"It's time. I'm finally here!"

Ethan had stood among the crowd for nearly an hour as Iec had
made his movements towards the group. Ethan had started to lose
his patience in hopes that the elders of the school would show
up soon. Though it was starting to look unlikely that they would
be there anytime soon. The stress of waiting had started to
trigger a rage within Ethan's mind causing a vein on his
forehead to slowly bulge out.

August slowly clawed at the door causing it to creep open. As he
had entered the room behind Iec he felt his heart race at the
surrounding library around him. The great hall was nothing but a
large room covered in bookshelves on every wall packed to the
brim with books. Well to be exact they were all Grimoires for
the mages that were going to be bound to them sooner or later.
August's demeanor in this room began to shrink causing him to
feel like an ant.

Albert stood staring at the large windows that let light flow
into the hall this was the first time he had been in Elsend
academy and he was excited and trying his best to not look like
a tourist as Iec walked past he turned focusing his attention on
all the people gathering in the hall they all looked so strong
he wondered if he would be as strong as them or even stronger he
could help but let out an excited squeal jumping into the air
shouting "YES!"

A elder man walks into the room in his mid forties. Grey hair
had begun to set in overtaking the brown within his hair and
beard. The man's height was about 5'9" and he adorned a grey
robe across his body. As he had entered the room the room fell
dead silent as he began to speak.
"Welcome, one and all. Today is the chosen day for all of you to
gain your Grimoires. Please now Fredric Blane. Please step forth
and receive your Grimoire."
As time past more and more people walked to the front of the
room gaining a book each time after falling the mans
instructions. Soon it would be Ethan Liam's turn to come to the
front of the room.
"Please now, Ethan Liam. Come to the front of the room."
The man placed a Grimoire that was blank and pure white in front
of Than Liam. The book opened by the elder man pealing away the
cover revealing the pages within. "Your hand please."
Ethan had stepped forwards joining the elder's ritual placing
the palm of his hand on the Grimoire. As he did the book would
bite his middle finger causing drops of blood to fuse with the
book causing the tome to turn black in color. A skull forming
across the front of the book as the words "Necronomicon" would
appear on the Grimoire's cover.
Afterwards Ethan picked up the book that had seemed to slightly
grow in size and begin walking back into the group of people.
"Please now, Iec Koizumi. Step forth and great your Grimoire."
The elder placed another blank Grimoire in front of Iec pure
white in color. As if it had not been tainted or bound to a soul
yet.

Iec smirks as his name is called it was so early on as well. He
steps pass the crowd moving towards the priest, as he does he
looks down at the book hesitating for a moment before placing
his hand down onto it, a beat of sweat dripping from his
forehead.

A nip could be felt by his thump as the book bit into Iec's
finger consuming a small amount of blood required to form the
pact with the book. A moment passed before the book's pages
began to turn a darkened brown color as the over of the book
turned to a darkened purple. A skull with crossbones appeared on
the front of the book with a snake wrapped around the skull with
it's fangs showing. On the cover of the book was "Toxilexicon"
the deadly Grimoire of poison.
"Please now, Albert Gonji. Please step fowards."
The man presents a pure white Grimoire for Albert to imprint on.

Albert practically ran for the stage in excitement as he bumped
into people pushing past them offering them a "sorry" in passing
before he approached the elder he looked at Iec "Wow thats
awesome! I hope I get a good one like that!" he then moved
pasted bouncing from one foot to the other in anticipation
waiting for his book

The elder grabs the eager Albert's hand placing it down onto the
Grimoire. As he does the book would bite his palm forming to
bond between Grimoire and owner. The book began to turn pale in
color as a horseshoe appeared on the front cover of the Grimoire
along with the words "Tychilexicon" being a book of Luck
manipulation magic.
"Okay, Last up is August. Please step forward."

August slowly approaches the stand, extending his hand outright.
He wants to pull away fearing that he will end up with a life
long punishment of a bad grimoire after so many great grimoires
ahead of him had already been picked. In his mind all the
grimoires thus far seemed rather powerful and his blood could
curse him with a life long binding with a horrible magic putting
him as a low class adventurer for life. As August fourth with
his mind his muscles tensed causing his hand to fall down
landing on a white Grimoire feeling his soul with dread.
