Background: Darwin was born in the sacred Yule forest, home to
many types of animals and magical creatures like dryads. He
spent his days living a carefree life in the forest with his
fellow brothers and sisters, under the care of the forest
protectors the dryads and the forest Guardian. One faithful
afternoon a stranger entered the forest after being chased off
by an unruly mob from one of the surrounding villages. Wounded
and tired he ran as far as he could in to the heart of the
forest which was forbidden due to the danger it posed to humans
due to the many creatures that made their home deep inside. The
man seemed desperate and once he found a quiet spot inside the
forest he passed out due to exhaustion, Darwin took notice of
the human while playing as the sight piqued his curiosity and
while the other children ran off to keep playing Darwin
approached the man to get a better look at him. He got close
enough to noticed the man was wounded but by some sort of magic
it seemed as if his wounds were rapidly healing themselves, he
had never been so close to a human being before as they rarely
ventured deep in to the forest and the children never left their
home, thus he began to rummage trough his clothes and poke him
in different places. Unfortunately for Darwin his curiosity got
the better of him as night soon set in and the bright light of
the full moon shined bright all across the forest, this
triggered the man's cursed, the reason as to why he was being
chased by a mob as he started to transform right before his very
eyes. Darwin had never seen anything like it before, he was both
terrified and amazed to what he was witnessing, unable to move
due to sheer fear when the now transformed werewolf set his
sight on him, a tasty prey. Darwin was bitten in his right arm
before he could even react letting out a loud gut wrenching
scream of agony as he was attacked by the beast, luckily for him
a Dryad heard his scream and came to his aid, fending off the
werewolf with magic and saving his life. He passed out from the
wound and was taken by the Dryad back to his people and healed,
how ever the bite had left more then just a wound on Darwin, the
werewolf bite transferred a curse to him, Lycanthropy. Despite
their best effort using powerful magic to rid him of the curse
the forest Dryad's were unable to heal him, it was deemed
necessary to exile Darwin in order to protect his people, the
inhabitants and peace of the forest. Darwin was sad to leave his
home and family behind but he knew it was for the best, now he
had to venture outside the forest for the first time in
centuries in order to try and find the source of his cure and
lift it.
Many harsh month's had passed since the day of his exile and
Darwin had managed to survive somehow, he learned the hard way
just what kind of creatures humans were first hand with some
showing kindness despite him being different while others
disdain, violence and attempting to swindle and enslave him. He
also found out being away from the forest for long periods of
time awoke a new need in him, the need to consume food to quell
the feeling of hunger. During his travels he befriended some
human children who snuck food for him and taught him some of
their language in the nearby villages, thus how he was able to
take his first steps in to learning how to speak the human
tongue. Being out of range of the protection of the forest he
had to learn how to defend himself as he picked up a thing or
too from guild fighters willing to teach him the very basics in
exchange for providing entertainment for them, which was one of
the ways he earned money to pay for food in places scarce with
natural resources, most of the time he just took food to eat
from the local stalls with out paying but he learned that was
consider a crime in human society and punished. Darwin had many
new experiences with his life outside the forest and learned
many things, specially that on nights with a bright moon in the
sky his curse would unwillingly transform him in to a monster,
driven purely by animal instincts to eat animals and humans
alike. He has been dealing with his curse eversince, searching
for a way to lift it and avoiding transforming so he doesn't
hurt any one.

need to consume food in order to live, thus living forever. They
however are not immune to death by harm. Ex; physical trauma:

their small build the Children of the Forest have become quite

see in the darkness.
Regeneration: The curse allows the user to regenerate at a
faster rate then normal from injuries and/or illness.
Transformation: The curse allows Darwin to transform in to a
werewolf hybrid or a wolf. While in this state his physical
abilities and senses are enhanced further.
Weaknesses
Silver: The user is highly susceptible to silver as simply
coming in contact with it can cause burns, or worst if used as a
weapon against Darwin. It also hinders regeneration ability.
Wolf-Bane: The user is susceptible to this particular plant, as
coming in contact with enough of it can weaken them. A high
dosage can cause harm.
Animal Instincts: When transformed Darwin is driven by a pure
animalistic instinct, unable to distinguish right from wrong,
friend or foe.
No Control: Darwin is unable to transform at will or control
said transformation at this time.
