Du: "Good. We're going on a trip for a few days next week." He
grabbed a piece of tomato from her cutting board. "It'll be
fun."
Jag: "Sounds like fun. I'm going away next week too, with Abel.
So Athena will be home with Julius and your father."
Maura quickly glanced around the kitchen.
"Speaking of your father... Jon?" she called out, sighing in
annoyance when she didn't recieve an immediate answer. "Athena,
honey, could you go fetch your father, please? Dinner's almost
ready."
Athena happily skipped away to her father's study. The door was
closed. She gently knocked, waiting for an answer.

Hamlet stayed behind, idly chatting with his mother about the
past days. Neglecting to mention the parties they had thrown in
their parents's absence.

Maura was in the middle of saying something when Michael
suddenly showed himself in the kitchen. She hadn't expected him
to come home that night.
He didn't say a word, simply sitting down in his seat.

Athena opened the door and quietly made her way over to the desk
where her father sat.

Hamlet tensed up when his brother entered the room, but tried
his best not to show it.
"Hey! What have you been up to?"

"What was it you wanted?"

"Not much. Just been hanging out with friends. How 'bout you?"
Michael said.
Maura continued to aggressively chop vegetables.

"Mom said dinner will be ready soon", Athena said with a shy
smile, fidgeting with the hem of her oversized sweater. It was
practically a dress on her to be honest.

"I mean yeah, pretty much the same. Hey, do you wanna go over to
Kepler next week? My class is going, and you can come with if
you feel like going wild in the big city." He tried his best to
be as friendly and charming as usual, but in truth, a weird,
jealous part of him hated the idea of Michael and Athena hanging
out together. He'd rather have her be alone than be friendly
with her other siblings. And well, she wouldn't be completely
alone, she would have their father.

Jon stood up and put his hands on Athena's shoulders.
"You know, I don't know why you keep insisting on wearing these
big, oversized clothes, Athena. Don't you feel like you should
show off an be proud of your body?"

Hamlet to set the table.

"I can go and change if you like."
