I'm reviving Snipers on the Source 2 engine

Hello, and a long-long time no see to you all!
I'm sure some of you remember that I loved tinkering around on
the WC3 Map Editor to create custom maps (old arena wars thing,
custom versions of Hero Wars, some Sniper beta maps) even though
I couldn't really bother to finish the Snipers map (it was as
good as it's going to be and nobody likes useless changes).
I was thinking of recreating the game as a separate game with a
group of friends, but that would take too much work (years) and
would be such a time-sink. But with Valve releasing Source 2 for
DotA 2 soon, with a new Map Editor, I'm thinking of re-creating
the original Elite Snipers. No new items, no new map, no new
skillsets or anything. Completely identical, but on the Source 2
engine. Though you would need the DotA2 client (free) to play
the game.
I'm not yet sure how I can achieve the identical map layout in
Source 2, since in the old days you could extract terrain data
from the protected maps and your map would have the exact same
layout. This is going to take a very long time to do by hand
while still keeping the layout identical.

I dont know since I dont really do many custom games. With

I've improved now the AI system in the SC2 game.
They have dynamic waypoints and target the nearest unit based on
day/night, which is kinda frustrating for newbs, but who cares
xD
I still want to make the AI use abilities and buy items, then
it's kinda fine :P

Why are you guys even messing with SC2 Snipers? SC1 Snipers is
still active as hell and needs a ton more skill to play then the
version you guys play it looks like.
