What is the difference of 1088BS LED Matrix from other LED
Matrices?

The 1088BS LED Matrix has a pin configuration that goes in a
counter clock wise direction. Pin number 1 can be seen on the
left side of the matrix with the label facing the user. And pin
number 16 can be seen on the upper left side of the matrix

1088BS LED MATRIX only produces one color of LED. Unlike
8x8-rgb-led-matrix. although the it has same number of LEDS
which is 64, I can say that 8x8-rgb-led-matrix is more practical
to use. It will allow you to make varying outputs. :)

1088BS led matrix has 16 pins that represent the cathodes
connected on columns and the anodes connected on rows. But in
some matrix the anodes are connected on columns and the cathodes
on rows.

THIS TYPE OF LED MATRIX IS GOOD IN MAKING A GAME (TETRIS) :D

In its appearance, it seems like its the same. Haha. maybe how
you program it. Its a different story. haha

Based on what I have seen on the internet, the 1088BS LED Matrix
has pin configuration which is the Vcc and GND are the power
connections. They are on both sides so that the modules can be
chained. CK will be the data clock and LE will be latch enable.
Finally there is DI, data in, and DO, data out. You connect the
Arduino to DI and if you had more than one module you would
connect DO on the first module to DI on the second module and so
on.
Also I have seen the Direct Drive LED Matrix which has Simpler
monochrome direct drive code. Is this correct? Cause I'm not
sure.

I dont konw the difference between the two one thing for me is
sure : it is used to display arbitrary patterns with led
matrices. ;) ;) ;)

That's a good point jezaniah. Other LED matrices goes in a
clockwise direction wherein the pin 1 starts on the lower left
and pin 16 is located on the upper right corner.

Yes, this is because the 1088bs is a common anode.
