Erie Crescent Homeowners lose their waterfront

Slowly, over the past ten years, the part of The Oxbow Lake
between Erie Crescent and the main island has silted up badly.
At one time, the stream from the school ran along the rear of
the properties numbered 14-28. But now, because of silt, the
stream flows around the back of the island so does not sluice
out the sediment any more.
The entire area in virtually inaccessible by any boat, even
kayaks have to be portaged across the sandbar to the left of
#14.
From #26 to #14 the water is stagnant and when the canal level
is low it's smelly mud. The waterfront properties are no longer
waterfront. For 6 months they have to look at slimy mud!
Cattails abound, ruining the access and view.
