       Really nice article about how the NYS Canal Corporation turned a
       Service Road into the largest, most popular Bike & Rail Trail in
       the Nation.
       Worth the read, and also worth the time to make riding the
       Empire State Trail a priority for one's "bucket list".
       I've highlighted a few points form the article in the picture
       below, along with some thoughts on the Erie Canalway section
       that runs through our neck of the woods.
