The Canopy Of Shade by Donna White

I guess the STCC has removed the photo from Donna's post.
Probably all in an attempt to hide the subject of this post. But
we have replaced it with the originals and added a few more
TREES that have fallen on the Erie Canal Trail, this group has
seen and posted. You would think they would believe their own
eyes

But - there is more to this photo than meets the eye, so I'm
glad it was posted. Do you see where the branches extend to?
They are hanging right over to the water's edge. That means
something else is going on that you can't see. Here's a clue!

See the roots? They grow out as far as the branches, so that
means these trees are already penetrating the rip-rap along the
embankment dam.
An accident waiting to happen folks! And here's another one -

Apparently, according to the STCC, there are no problems with
trees on the canal. Oh Really?

I have the answer to that question...
Isn't Donna White the Stop the Canal Clear-Cut member, who with
two pictures posted on the group's Facebook Page, has basically
refuted the whole arguments about Trees being Safe that the
groups's leaders have been making for the past two years.

Wait, isn't Ms. White the same person who has just proven that
you can always find some "shade" along the Erie Canal if you are
just willing to crawl under the fallen trees along the pathway
to enjoy that shade?

Surely Ms. White is trying to sound the alarm for her group's
leaders to possible re-examine their position on how safe trees
along the Empire Trail are?
Sadly, not one person from the Stop the Canal Clear-Cut group
has commented on Ms. White's pictures... hmm. Instead they all
decided to talk about any trees being cut in NY State and how
the canal embankment grass is being cut out in Brockport.

It's something that we knew would eventually happen... a
casualty in the Erie Canal Tree War saga. But she's still
smiling so it's all good.

This was sent to the ECNA, just sharing what we have seen to
answer the question of "Who is Donna White?"
We leave it up to the readers to decide, but this will be our
last DW post... the ECNA is steering clear of these so called
"patriots".
You might find more pictures of DW here, these folks seem to

Better” under communism. Now Biden wants to tax the **** out of
us to do their building.

their narrative. We are losing our Freedom of Speech (FB,
Twitter censoring everything they don’t agree with)
We are losing our Freedom of Religion ... you can’t become a cop
in California if you are a Christian.

Well! I'm lost for words!
This woman is seriously lacking somewhere. Her extreme views on
her Facebook page tell it all, but this little episode on the
STCC site takes the biscuit.
Donna! Here's how it is.
They cut the trees down, because FEMA, ASDSO, and DEC TOLD them
to.
Why? Because - they cause embankment breaches (and floods).
They are old and at end of life (Cottonwoods). They are shedding
branches over pedestrian walks.
They prevent the NYPA from carrying out proper maintenance.
(You know, Donna - a 4' wide 150' tall Cottonwood is a problem
for maintenance machinery, but I wouldn't expect you to
understand that, seeing some of the other daft stuff you've
posted over the years.)
They replaced the trees with a privacy barrier, and the lot of
you are STILL bitching? Good grief!
Why don't you go and take up knitting or something more useful?

It's all part of their plan... to feign something called
Embankment Dam Blindness.
Not once will you ever see a comment other than about "trees"
from this group, like these below that are insinuating that the
new trees are "just like the old ones".

Donna White, Elizabeth Agte and her Facebook group, continue to
completely miss the statements made by the OWNERS of this Canal
property, who say they actually repaired & rehabilitated a 100
year old earthen dam along the Erie Canal. It that can be found
"under" those newly planted, barrier trees, you just need to
look for it.
It's that grass covered embankment that is now safe, now covered
with APPROVED vegetation, including these Juniper Evergreens and
Red Osier Dogwood.
Of course you have to want to see it I guess... because the Stop
the Canal Clear-cut group members don't and are still "blind" to
the reason new trees are there.
