How much is too much when it comes to Daily Cost of Local NY
       Government?

Sometimes a graph works...and sometimes it doesn't. The ECNA has
shown quite a few graphs lately on here, and our main website.
Graphs on Cost per resident for Village Government, graphs on
Cost per Area comparing Towns & Village... even graphs on how 12
Erie Canal Towns are maintaining 472 square miles of land on the
same budget as Two other towns are with only 60 square miles to
       manage.
But maybe some do better with a table of numbers...like me. That
way you can ask very simple questions.

Here's a few questions some NY Canal Village & Town Residents
       might want to ask...
Why does the Village of Newark cost 3x that of the Town to
operate on a daily basis? (PS:It's only 1/10th the size of the
       Town in area)
What exactly do Perinton Townspeople get for the $78,600 Dollars
per Day they are spending? On a side note, what is all that
       money being spent on?
Why does it cost more to run 1.5 square miles of Spencerport
than 36 square miles of Ogden? (PS: Town of Ogden has a police
       force to pay for too)
In the same vein, Town of Sweden at 35 sq miles cost less to
operate than the Village of Brockport with only 2 sq miles and
1/2 the population size. Can we move the Police out of the
Village and save cost here, why should the villagers be strapped
       with this cost alone?
How can this be viewed as Fair? Albion & Medina are two villages
that cost 50% more than their respective towns to manage with
local government. Yet only 50% of the total Town Population
contributes to the Village Cost but nearly all of the
townspeople use those village resources quite often.
I am sure each of you who likes figures in tables can see a few
more here...maybe it's time for you to start asking your own
       questions.
       Maybe this will help

Apparently many New York State Village Residents agree... it's
       too costly.
The number of Village Dissolution success stories across the
state, has taken a steep turn upward in the past 10 years...
