       Cayuga County applies for Trail Town Status in three local
       communities.

       This just announced, Cayuga County will have THREE new "Trail
       Towns" along the NYS Empire Trail System.
       The Cayuga County Office of Tourism announced that Montezuma,
       Port Byron, and Weedsport will begin the application process
       through the Parks & Trails New York program, funded by the New
       York State Canal Corporation. Located along a scenic 12-mile
       stretch of the Empire State Trail near the historic Erie Canal,
       the villages were recognized for their strong heritage,
       hospitality, and commitment to trail users.
