       Erie Canal Traffic Closed in Fairport - Trees Down!

       Trees, falling into the Erie Canal in Fairport, have closed all
       navigation until the channel is cleared.

       So much for that idea that a local "save the trees" movement was
       good for Erie Canal safety, or safety of the Fairport community
       at large.
