A message for the Village of Fairport & Town of Perinton

So much for Facebook being the "Harbor of Truth" along the Erie
Canal National Heritage Corridor...
And anyone who was backing this dysfunctional, misinformation
spreading Facebook Group, known as Stop the Canal Clear-cut, you
were WRONG.
Backing a fractured group that wanted to IGNORE public safety
issues in NYS, and doing so at the cost of leaving Erie Canal
Neighbors in danger of inevitable canal embankment collapse, was
just not the right choice here.
Hopefully lessons have been learned about how easily someone (or
some online group) can turn a NYS Canal public safety program
into an "environmental crusade", and a blight like this will
never again happen in Fairport or Perinton.
Just imagine a group who preferred "trail shade" INSTEAD of a
safer Erie Canal system, including repair of its unsafe,
overgrown earthen embankment dams... boggles the mind.

Time to move on folks... and leave this blemish (and protest
group) to it's own demise.
It's now becoming a slow moving train wreck once the "blame
game" starts to happen and the Stop the Canal Clear-cut
"management" starts to blame the "minions" who "didn't do enough
in their eyes. It's bound to happen, as Ms Agte & Ms
Borden-Maier have to find some way to "Save Face" and not appear
to be wrong in any of this somehow.
