       [size=12pt]The NYDEC sent me this document regarding what to do
       with eroding shorelines. It would appear that building walls and
       vertical structures is not the best route to go.
       
       Natural stabilizers like trees, cattails (maybe?) and ground
       covering plants seem to be the way forward.
       Of course, trees on an impounding earthen embankment DAM are
       taboo, but we are not referring to DAMS here.
