       New Canal Corporation Map Tool shows location of Erie Canal

       Just out from the new Erie Canal Embankment Integrity Website,
       an interactive map that you can input your address and see where
       your nearest Erie Canal Earthen Embankment Dam is located

       This also looks like the start of a new tool to communicate
       where an Earthen Embankment might be worked on, part of the new
       EEIP program, Earthen Embankment Integrity Program.
       Just an FYI: There are 5 earthen dams in the Town of Perinton,
       and the Town of Pittsford has one of the longest and tallest
       earthen dams in the canal system within it's limits on BOTH
       sides of the canal at Irondequoit Creek.

       Another indication that the new owners of the Canal System,
       NYPA, are serious about fixing their earthen dam safety issues
       throughout the State. New York Power Authority & the NYS canal
       Corporation have laid all this out in their new Earthen
       Embankment Guidebook
