What is Emotional Anorexia?

"Emotional anorexia is the compulsive avoidance of establishing
and maintaining emotional connections and relationships."
Feel free to reply to this topic if you agree or disagree but
keep in mind that the definition is more important than the
'term'. We are trying to define behavior so that we can deal
with it. The term and definition are tools and we may change the
tools as needed.

I am still searching for a term to describe my own condition. I
believe it is a subset of emotional anorexia. I have "A
compulsion to avoid all emotions and situations that might lead
to emotions".
It is important to note that "emotions" is not a euphemism for
'crying', sadness, or emotions which are commonly deemed
'negative'. This compulsion is to avoid ALL
emotions--especially love and joy. These are the most dangerous
because they are the most painful.
