How do you guys shave?

Just for interests sake, how do you guys shave? What razor do
you use? Do you use a brush or gel/foam from a can? What results
do you achieve?

I'll start:
I use a straight (cut throat) razor made by a company called
Dovo. German Steel, can cut your face to ribbons just by looking
at it, beautiful piece of man kit! (picture attached). I use a
Maca root shaving soap and a badger hair brush. Pre-shave wash
and shower, shave oil left on my face for a minute or two while
I make my lather. Then lather and make 3 passes, 1 with, 1
across and finally 1 against the grain. Then moisturise, rub my
face with an Alum block to close the pores and aftershave to
smell like a sex panther! It all takes about 20 minutes and the
finish is that of a baby's butt! So smooth, its like a newly
polished granite worktop!
I tell you fellas, think your Gillette Mach 3 comes close to
this level of smoothness....you're wrong simple as that! It's a
steep learning curve and plenty of nicks along the way, but the
blade is that sharp you don't know you have cut yourself until
you lather for another pass! Shave like a dreadnought, nothing
more manly than a straight blade shave, sets me up for the day
good and proper!

I would love to know how to shave cut throat :P
Been shaving for about 3.5 years now.... My tool of choice is a
Wilkinson sword moisturizing thing that is particularly
useless....I need a new one to tell you the truth! I used it for
the first time in 4 months last week and it wasn't a
particularly nice experience....not to mention the fact I had to
get the scissors out to cut my ginger beard off!
Anyway, its a wet shave job....Tend to use cold water because it
wakes you up in a morning before you take the blade to your
face....Lather some Gillette shaving foam on and go for
it....starting on the neck and working up. I find starting from
sideburns down results in all of the foam washing off by the
time you reach your neck! Its a few steady goes across my chin
and then up my checks. I make sure to go both with and against
the grain to make sure you get it all.
Its then down to some Nivea for men moisturizer to finish the
job off.
The bloody parts the fun bit.....there a few ways I deal with
this...
At work- Lick thumb and rub the saliva into it, tends to stop
quite quick (Same for spots too if we have any teenagers???)
Going out- Either Aftershave or sometimes deodorant depending on
the event, both work the same as long as its the classic smell
ones and not the white anti sweat ones!
Home- TOILET PAPER!
I never really time myself, but I take my time when I can. I
tend to have to shave every 2-3 days....although with this beard
job I have only started shaving again this week as it goes.
Speaking of shaving, I may have to have one now.....Although I'm
liking the stubble look at the moment, looks a lot better than
the patchy ginger beard anyway!

Odd question but here goes,
I don't see well enough to use a straight razor so I just
use whatever blade is handy and Barbersol Shaving cream.
I work from my moustache out.
I can only use a razor blade once and it's dull to uselessness.
Then a splash of Old Spice and I'm good to go.
But I don't shave every day either.

That was one of two answers I thought of for you Monty. The
other was fire up Dora and push your face into the prop!
