Well people, I have gone and done it now! I applied to a local
to Newport Volunteer Gliding Squadron to see about becoming an
Air Cadet Civilian Gliding Instructor. I have had three emails
and a phonecall now. They want me to go down to the squadron on
the 11 th of may to do the CRB paperwork and once that comes
through, it looks like I may be accepted!

I believe that the squadrons do friends and family days every
now and again, which means that if I am accepted, once I reach
G1 standard, you can get in my front seat and I can show you the
joys of climbing from the runway like a homesick angel! The
acceleration from 0-60 for a winch launch is close to that of a
formula 1 car!

I seem to remember a vid you posted once upon a time, somewhere
of your first solo flight if my memory is correct.
I envy you lad.

aaahh the feeling of 0-60 mph those where the days on my Honda
CBR 1000 race tuned fireblade !!! that beasty would pull some
speed clocked at 172 mph on the A38 Exter to Plymouth bypass at
0300hrs with a GPS and witness. unlike me old hog I ride now but
hey im getting on so the hog suits me fine its also good for my
license 9 points and rising at the time !! all back to 0 now.
but that would be awesome guns another thing to tick off my list
" Things to do before I die " its a big list by the way !!! lols

Well boys, that's it done, paperwork completed, been accepted by
the team, the boss and the chief flying instructor. Just got to
wait for CRB and then hopefully pass the medical and then flying
shall commence in earnest!
