Gun ownership makes you feel free??? Joe it is a lie that
gullible USAnian have bought into. It means your law enforcement
and security are armed and 100 times more likely to take your
life.
I can argue with the police and they are powerless to assert
control. Same with security. As long as I am within the law then
private security cannot touch me or even attempt to coerce me. I
photograph and film government offices and private security
staff try to stop me, but because I am on a public road they are
powerless to stop me in anyway. I film government employees
leaving and entering the building. The employees that take
children from fathers and families with minimal factual evidence
or reason. I am free to harass the agents of the state who go
after divorced fathers.

Well, then I am happy that you are happy not having the right to
gun ownership without having to get the State to monitor you
constantly.
You may not know this, but having the government coming and
taking your guns away (especially the British government) goes
back a ways here.

How does having a gun protect you from the state? They just come
heavily armed and kill or injure you in the process. Cops take
me out of my home in handcuffs. They have to carry me but I am
left largely uninjured.

1. Part of English culture is that you as a people have an
absolute trust in your government which translates into your not
having a history of gun ownership by the citizenry.
2. Americans for the most part do not trust their government and
this manifests itself in the quest/desire for personal gun
ownership.
Let me save us both a lot of time and I'll lay out how this
conversation will progress.
You will no doubt begin a series of statements that personal gun
ownership does not make the citizenry safer.
And then I will begin using examples such as in Iraq over the
past 17 years that illustrate that even an untrained citizenry
armed with shoulder fired weapons can make so much chaos that
the government eventually finds it is not worth the effort to
keep killing civilians.
So, again, let me state I am happy that you are happy that your
being disarmed makes you feel safer.

Joe the UK people despise state control. They just voted to do
away with the higher government from Europe as it was too
invasive and making up too many regulations. We vote for soft
government where the rights of individuals and property matter
more than nearly all European neighbours.
I have more liberty than you will ever have.

Your gun ownership in point 1 means that when member states try
to leave your union, rather than let them go their own way as
the EU has done, y'all embark on a serious blood letting, raping
and pillaging. Yeeehaaaa let's go burn the plantations and rape
the daughters. That is the American psychotic way. You all need
opiates to keep yourselves from killing each other.

Hell if we were more like Amerikkka, London, Scotland and
Northern Ireland would have formed militias and broken away from
the United Kingdom. We would now be under siege from the white
patriotic Englanders. War crimes happening everywhere and
economy wrecked.
Instead we did something unknown for USAnians. A blood less
revolution.
Truly we are a civilised people.
