       I quit the project. 2 weeks notice to serve out. Too many things
       were wrong.
       On top of that the place I was working was appropriated
       illegally from a Jewish family in 1938. The locals then murdered
       the Jewish family including children in their home. No memorial
       plaques, no mention in company history. No compensation from
       Austrian government to family who survived. An act of Holocaust
       denial. I told my agency that I cannot be partie to that.
       I was unhappy with my hopeless managers but quit citing
       holocaust denial and moral grounds.
       New project lined up for end of notice but London based again.

       Good on you. How did they react to your mentioning holocaust
       denial?

       The dickhead in the agency told me that I had signed a contract
       and that would have to work from Austria in last week. A few
       conversations with HR and I am working from Verona..... They
       would rather I did not sue.

       Worst mess I have worked on in years. One of the network guys
       was dismissed after a site he was working on was brought down by
       the local engineer. Our Brit CIO used the British hire as a
       scapegoat. I argued he was not at fault and CIO agreed but to
       save his own arse he canned him.
       So handed my notice in last Friday and then wrote an email for
       the network engineer fired which he duly sent to CEO of company.
       Listed all failings of UK team they have brought in and rampant
       cronyism.
       The travel every week was great but I can make more money and
       not work to thieving scousers who are on the take.
